You can already order beer and wine online from your favorite stores and have it delivered to your home. Now, those stores want to be able to deliver hard alcohol, too.
The state liquor control board is considering the idea right now.
“Now that they’re selling spirits, they want to add that as just another product they would deliver to home,” said Brian Smith with the state liquor board.
Public comment is being taken now and a decision is expected in December.
Drivers would be required to check I-D, just like they do now when they deliver beer and wine.
“We’re not reinventing the wheel,” he said. “We’ve been doing beer and wine for many years.”
