Auburn schools locked down after teen spotted with gun

Two schools in Auburn were placed in lockdown Friday afternoon around 1:00 p.m.
Auburn police say three third graders at Hazelwood Elementary School observed a teenage boy carrying what was believed to be a gun in a wooded area between the elementary school and Rainier Middle School.
Officers secured the area and searched the school while staff helped search inside.
The suspect was not located and the schools were re-opened at 2:30 P.M.
