Seattle police investigate Sunday downtown shooting; one man reported dead

At about 12:30 p.m. Sunday, the Seattle Police Department responded to reports of a shooting in the Seattle downtown area, near 3rd Avenue and Pine Street.

Officers and medics responding to the scene found a man with gunshot wounds, but he died at the scene.
Violent crimes in Seattle reach ‘14-year high’ in 2021, according to report from SPD
An SPD public information officer on the scene reported Sunday afternoon that medics unsuccessfully attempted to save the man’s life.
A suspect is not known as of Sunday afternoon. A homicide investigation is ongoing, SPD reports. Members of the SPD’s Crime Scene Investigation Unit responded to collect evidence.
