Four local police agencies have teamed up to catch a bank robber who has been dubbed the "Duct Tape Bandit." He is suspected of robbing four banks in less than three months.

Four local police agencies have teamed up to catch a bank robber who has been dubbed the “Duct Tape Bandit.”

The Edmonds, Poulsbo, Redmond, and Stanwood Police Departments released a joint statement Tuesday, announcing an $8,000 reward for information that leads them to the suspect.

The agencies believe the same man is responsible for robbing four banks in less than three months.

May 24, 2012: Whidbey Island Bank in Stanwood

June 7, 2012: Key Bank in Poulsbo

June 20, 2012: Wells Fargo in Edmonds

August 8, 2012: First Citizens Bank in Redmond

“Every description from every witness has been the same,” said Jim Bove, a spokesperson for the Redmond Police Department. “What he has done in every bank robbery is he has shown a gun, displayed a gun, demanded money, put it into a white cloth bag and then left the bank.”

During the Standwood incident, he is suspected of assaulting a customer and an employee.

The suspect is called the “Duct Tape Bandit” because he uses strips of black duct tape to conceal his identity.

He is described as a white male in his mid-20’s with short, light brown hair and a thin to medium build. He may have a tattoo on the inside of his left leg.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 800-222-TIPS (8477).
