Fatal crash closes southbound I-5 near Arlington

All lanes of southbound I-5 are blocked in the Arlington area after a fatal crash Wednesday morning.
Trooper Jacob Kennett said the crash near 228th Street involved a box truck and a construction attenuator truck.
The freeway is closed at 236th Street Northeast.
Though the crash is still being investigated, it appears the construction attenuator truck was setting up a lane closure for construction happening south of the crash scene when the collision occurred, Kennett said.
Drivers should avoid the area.
