Former Seattle rocker Courtney Love is under fire
again, this time from a former assistant who is suing the
widow of Nirvana’s Kurt Cobain for what she calls
“despicable conduct.”

Jessica Labrie worked for Love for a year and claims the
troubled rocker and Hole front-woman “acted with an
improper and evil
motive amounting to malice or despicable conduct” during
the time she was employed, reported E!

The lawsuit says Love hired
Labrie in June 2010 as an
administrative assistant and “forensic research aide” for
$30 an hour. It accuses her of forcing Labrie to work 60-
hour-plus weeks without paying overtime, hire a computer
hacker, and send fake legal correspondence. It also
alleges she never followed up with a promise to pay for
Labrie’s Yale tuition, failed to pay any promised bonuses,
and didn’t secure her a promised job on the set of a
Nirvana biopic.

Labrie says she was forced to resign after suffering
headaches, insomnia, anxiety, and depression because of
the conditions and is seeking damages for wrongful
termination, breach of contract, intentional inflicted
emotional distress, negligent misrepresentation, and
failure to pay wages and overtime.

There’s been no response so far from Love’s camp. The
rocker also faces another lawsuit filed last month by her
former lawyers for failing to pay over $500,00 in legal
fees.
