Federal Way police have arrested a 29-year-old man in connection with the murder of his girlfriend.

Police say they arrested the suspect after he went to his neighbor’s house and announced that he had killed his girlfriend. The neighbor then called the police.

When police arrived and entered the suspect’s home on the 3000 block of south 288th Street, they found his girlfriend on the floor. The unidentified 20-year-old woman was stabbed to death.

Her name and other specifics of the case are not being released because her family has not yet been notified.

The suspect has now been booked into the King County Jail for investigation of first degree murder.
