Update: More than 60 crews from at least nine fire departments responded to a massive three-alarm fire in downtown Bothell Friday morning.

Several roads remain closed as firefighters try to prevent the further damage.

The City of Bothell released a map of the road closures.

Firefighters were called to the scene at Main Street and 102nd Avenue Northeast at 2:50 a.m. KIRO 7 reports. When crews arrived, they found a building currently under construction fully engulfed in flames.

“I have not seen a fire of this magnitude in Bothell before,” said Bothell fire spokesperson Kirsten Clemens.

At one time, flames were reported to have been shooting hundreds of feet in the air and part of a construction crane was melted by the heat of the fire.

Embers pushed by wind spread the fire to a cafe across the street and a Wells Fargo bank.

One person from a nearby building was evacuated.

There have been no injuries.

The building was planned to be apartments and retail space.
