Fed up with the stories about her father and continued accusations that he had an unhealthy sexual obsession with his missing daughter-in-law, Alina Powell wants her family’s voice heard.
She created a blog to host family videos that show Steven Powell interacting with his son Josh Powell, his daughter-in-law Susan Cox Powell, and the couple’s young sons, Braden and Charlie. Each of the videos include a targeted message that fires back at long-standing accusations against members of the Powell family.
According to Alina Powell, the videos prove that her father had a healthy relationship with Susan and his grandsons, despite claims in the media by law enforcement and the Cox family.
Powell told ABC News that she waited to release the videos because she did not want them to interfere with her father’s ongoing voyeurism trial.
“I waited to put things out so as not to interfere with dad’s case, but I’ve long been tired of seeing people say things they don’t really know anything about. (The site) is just kind of to start putting the truth and balance into this stuff,” she told ABCNews.com.
She said the videos are meant to show her family’s side of the story after a more than two-year battle with the Cox family.
You can watch the videos here. A clip of Detective Ed Troyer, Pierce County Sheriff’s spokesman, in an appearance on the Ron & Don Show, can be heard in the last video on the page, addressed as “A Message for all the Viewers.”
