3-year-old left on Poulsbo school bus

A school bus driver in Poulsbo is off the job Thursday after leaving a 3-year-old girl on his bus after making his morning run on Wednesday.
The driver failed to realize that the little girl did not get off the bus for morning preschool. He went to a district lot, parked and left.
The 3-year-old was left alone on the bus for 30 to 40 minutes before another driver noticed the girl who then drove her to school.
The Kitsap Sun reports the driver failed to follow district policy which requires drivers to go up and down the aisles after their runs to look for kids or damage.
The driver has been placed on administrative leave.
The girl’s parents say she won’t be taking the bus for a while.
