On Thursday, Aug. 25, at about 1:30 p.m., 911 dispatchers received a phone call saying two males pulled out guns and pointed them at a 10-year-old girl near an apartment complex in Parkland.

Pierce County Deputies went to check out the situation at the complex but didn’t find anyone. The caller told dispatchers they had walked to an apartment complex at 1900 104th St S.

Deputies got into the area and contacted the 911 caller. During their interview with the reporting party, the suspects were still in the complex’s parking lot.

Deputies approached the suspects, advised them they would be detained, and checked them for weapons.

The two suspects both had handguns tucked into their waistbands. The suspects were cooperative, and deputies handcuffed them. Both suspects are 17 years old.

A records check revealed one of the firearms was reported stolen in Federal Way in 2021. The boys were arrested and booked into Remann Hall Juvenile Detention Center for the unlawful possession of a firearm, and one was charged with possession of a stolen firearm.

They were also charged with felony harassment as they were following another young child who saw them with the guns, and they were telling them to stop.
