It’s a sure sign that summer has come to a close, with the seasonal Fast-Ferry System and supporting bus service coming to an end for the year at Kitsap Ferries.

The summer schedule ends after Sept. 24 and switches to weekday service Monday, Sept. 26.

Des Moines betting on fast ferry service to attract visitors

According to spokesperson Sanjay Bhatt, “This is our normal end-of-summer switch back to weekday-only sailings. Every year, prior to the pandemic, our summer sailing schedule began the first Saturday in May and we offer summer sailings from May through the end of September.”

Sanjay mentions this is the first summer schedule since the start of the pandemic.

He also says that the Port Orchard foot ferry will resume its Saturday schedules.
