A man has been arrested for taking photos and videos of an Olympia actress in her dressing room without her knowledge.
The Capitol Playhouse actress located a hidden camera in her dressing room after discovering photos of herself in various stages of undress on a computer. The theater immediately notified police.
“The device that had been placed was a pinhole camera,” said Laura Wohl with the Olympia Police Department. “It had been placed in the wall of the dressing room where a small hole had been drilled.”
Joseph Sortori, 25, was arrested and booked into the Thurston County Jail on voyeurism charges. He is an employee at the theater and owned the computer that the photos were found on.
The Olympia Police Department is working to determine how long the device was in place and how many victims there may have been.
