SILVERDALE, Wash. – A Silverdale teen died Saturday after falling off a ladder at a construction site.

The girl, 16, was airlifted to Tacoma General Hospital with life-threatening injuries. Authorities said the girl, who fell from a “significant height,” died shortly afterward.

She was identified Sunday by the Pierce County medical examiner as Emily Ramm. According to her father, John Ramm, Emily was with a group of friends when the incident occurred.

John said the group was looking for a place to watch the Perseid meteor shower. Emily is survived by six siblings.

Her family created a GoFundMe page Sunday in her memory. Click here to see.

According to the GoFundMe page, Ramm suffered a severe brain injury and numerous fractures from the fall.

Ramm was an organ donor. Both her kidney’s and her liver were donated, the family said on page.

“Our family decided to donate some of her organs to insure our Emily lives on and (is) able to give life to others,” the page reads.

Ramm fell from a ladder at a construction site at Silverdale Elementary School in the 9100 block of Dickey Road Northwest.

The school is receiving a total remodel and has been under construction since July 2015.

If you have any additional information about this incident, you’re asked to contact sheriff’s detectives at (360)-337-7111 or Kitsap 911 at (360)-308-5400.
