Officials are processing the car for evidence.

Anyone with information is asked to contact WSP.

This news came just hours before a welcome home ceremony was held for Isaiah in Burien.

“I don’t know how you get any stronger than this. He’s just been amazing,” said Michael Snyder, Isaiah’s grandfather.

It was a heartwarming and special moment as Isaiah walked to greet friends and family at Kennedy Catholic High School. He even threw a football with some teammates.

“I’m just happy he’s home now,” his teammate, Mason Linal, said. Isaiah was shot over a week ago while he was in the car with his dad and sister. They were exiting off State Route 167 toward Renton when a dispute happened with another driver. Isaiah’s father got out of the car, and that’s when the suspect started shooting. The bullets hit Isaiah in the face and chest.

“It was sad. I was shocked what happened,” Linal said. Isaiah was taken to a nearby hospital in critical condition.

“The doctors thought that he was still going to be in ICU,” Snyder said. He’s now been home for a couple of days and is progressing and improving with each day.

“Determination to be out of the hospital just catapulted him. He’s doing great considering what he’s been through,” Snyder said. His family still wants those who are responsible to be held accountable.

“We asked earlier in the week if they’d turn themselves in. That’s not looking very likely. We’re hoping now that someone in the community may recognize them or have heard what’s happened and come forward,” Snyder said.
