Rantz: RFK Jr. eviscerates and steamrolls Sen. Patty Murray at committee hearing

Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. absolutely eviscerated Sen. Patty Murray in what’s becoming an ongoing theme for the veteran Washington senator.
“You’ve presided here, I think, for 32 years. You presided over the destruction of the health of the American people,” Kennedy told Murray during a Tuesday subcommittee hearing. “Our people are now the sickest people in the world because you have not done your job.”
Murray’s best response? “Seriously?”
“What have you done about it? What have you done about the epidemic of chronic disease?” Kennedy shot back before Murray asked the chairperson to intervene and stop the public humiliation.

Visibly rattled by yet another tense moment she’s endured, courtesy of Trump administration officials who won’t let her steamroll them, Murray continued with claims that Kennedy is making irresponsible cuts to HHS. Kennedy dismissed her point, saying he didn’t “trust” she was being honest.
Patty Murray keeps getting humiliated at hearings
Murray was recently called out by FBI Director Kash Patel during a separate contentious hearing where the senator attempted to earn a soundbite.
“You have placed on leave FBI employees responsible for the investigation of Jan. 6. That sounds political to me,” she claimed—because holding agents accountable for ethical violations is now “political,” as long as they’re Democrats’ ideological allies.
Patel wasn’t having it.
“I have not placed anyone on leave who has not violated their ethical obligation or their oath,” he fired back. “I think the common theme here is you putting words in my mouth, and I’m not going to tolerate it, nor will the men and women of the FBI.”
“If you want to talk about someone who was attacked by a weaponized Bureau, you’re looking at him,” Patel reminded her. “And now he’s the director of the FBI, and he’s cleaning it up.”
Patel previously confirmed that he was subject to a subpoena and forced to testify to a federal grand jury in former special counsel Jack Smith’s investigation into Trump.
