A man was arrested in Everett after allegedly starting multiple fires at a pair of adult novelty shops.
On Oct. 1, Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office deputies received a report that someone set the front door of Adult Airport Video on Airport Road on fire. Approximately two hours later, the Everett Police Department was called to respond to an incident where someone lit the door of a sex shop, called Love Zone on Evergreen Way, on fire just before 10 p.m.
No injuries were reported from either fire. The damage from the crime is estimated to cost between $2,500 and $3,000.
Snohomish County deputies located the suspect in the parking lot of a nearby Value Village. The arson suspect fled when spotted, but was soon taken into custody, according to the Everett Police Department.
The suspect was booked for two counts of first-degree arson, burglary, obstruction of a law enforcement officer, and possession of a controlled substance without a prescription.
