The Seattle Police Department (SPD) is investigating a homicide in Seattle’s Mount Baker neighborhood after officers found a man with a fatal gunshot wound.

Officers were called to the 3600 block of 33rd Avenue S. at approximately 10 p.m. Monday after an alleged shooting took place. When officers arrived, they found a man in his 60s dead with a gunshot wound.

“Police and the Seattle Fire Department (SFD) provided medical aid to the victim,” SPD stated in its crime blotter. “Despite all life-saving efforts, SFD pronounced him deceased at the scene. The suspect fled before police arrived.”
