WASHINGTON (AP) — In a story published Nov. 29, 2025, about how the Pentagon’s investigation of Sen. Mark Kelly over a video that urges American troops to defy “illegal orders” has raised questions and criticism from legal experts, The Associated Press erroneously quoted Todd Huntley, a retired Navy captain and judge advocate general, as saying of an unnamed veteran Huntley had once prosecuted, “He was essentially assaulting his adopted daughter. Basically no one else had jurisdiction so we prosecuted him.” Huntley actually said, “He was sexually assaulting his adopted daughter. Basically no one else had jurisdiction so we prosecuted him.”
