70-year-old pedestrian on scooter struck, killed by SUV in Shoreline

A man in his 70s was struck by a vehicle and killed while riding a scooter in Shoreline on Saturday night.

At approximately 7 p.m., the victim was riding a mobility near the road close to N.E. 175th Street and 11th Avenue N.E., according to KIRO 7.

The man was reportedly struck by a small SUV that was traveling eastbound on N.E. 175th Street.

Despite life-saving efforts, the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Officials noted that the SUV driver remained on scene and fully cooperated with investigators.
