Clallam County Sheriff: 73-year-old Port Angeles man’s death caused by ‘homicidal violence’

A 73-year-old Port Angeles resident’s death was the result of “homicidal violence,” the Clallam County Sheriff’s Office confirmed.
When Clallam County deputies recovered the victim’s, Danny Kendrick, body along Deer Park Road just before 7:30 a.m. Saturday, detectives initially ruled it a “suspicious death.” After examining the results of the autopsy, the cause of death was determined to be a homicide.
“Our hearts go out to the family and loved ones of Danny Kendrick during this difficult time,” the Clallam County Sheriff’s Office wrote.
Detectives with the Clallam County Sheriff’s Office, alongside the Olympic Peninsula Narcotics Enforcement Team, the Port Angeles Police Department, and the Washington State Patrol (WSP) Crime Scene Response Team, are continuing to investigate this case.
Investigators are asking residents to provide the sheriff’s office with any video footage between Feb. 20 at 10:30 p.m. and Feb. 21 at 7 a.m. at the 7000 block of Deer Park Road N. to Highway 101, Township Line Road to Deer Park Road and O’Brien Road, and O’Brien Road between Township Line Road and Highway 101. Specifically, law enforcement is looking specifically for footage of any cars or people passing by in these specific areas during that time window.
