Four occupants of a home in Graham were displaced, with one woman suffering significant burn injuries, after it caught fire early Thursday morning.

At approximately 12:48 a.m., Central Pierce Fire & Rescue (CPFR) crews were dispatched to a residential structure fire in the 22500 block of 147th Avenue Court E., CPFR announced.

Flames visible through the roof as crews battled the fire from the exterior

As crews arrived, firefighters found heavy fire conditions with visible flames coming through the roof of the home. Crews attacked the fire from the exterior to protect the properties surrounding it.

CPFR was eventually able to bring the main body of the fire under control after about 45 minutes. Firefighters remained on the scene overnight to monitor for any hot spots and conducted fire watch operations.

Four occupants were displaced by the fire, while one woman in her 20s was transported to a local hospital with significant burn injuries.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation by the Pierce County Fire Marshal’s Office.

CPFR noted that the Red Cross is assisting all displaced individuals with immediate needs and recovery support.
