The FIFA World Cup 2026 has arrived in Seattle, and fans without tickets to the six matches at Seattle Stadium have no shortage of options to catch the action.

With the first locally hosted match set for Monday, the city is hosting free watch parties at venues across downtown, and options range from official fan celebrations to informal gatherings. Here’s a sampling:

The waterfront

The city is operating watch parties at Pier 62 on the downtown waterfront, with free, open-to-the-public screenings on a first-come, first-served basis. A ticketed floating barge on Elliott Bay offers a premium option.

Seattle soccer house

Pacific Place mall in downtown Seattle has been converted into the Seattle Soccer House, the city’s designated fan headquarters. The centerpiece is a 70-foot-by-40-foot screen stretching up four levels of the atrium.

Libraries

The Seattle Public Library system is hosting 15 livestream watch parties at branches across the city. In a departure from the typical library atmosphere, the system is encouraging fans to cheer and be loud.

Victory Hall and neighborhood watch parties

Victory Hall, located near Seattle Stadium, is hosting its own screening events on match days. Smaller watch parties are also forming at restaurants and bars around the city, including a Capitol Hill gathering at Quality Flea Center, a flea market occupying a former QFC grocery store. That event, sponsored by the local business improvement area, will screen Friday’s U.S.-Paraguay match at 6 p.m.

Inside the stadium

For fans who secured tickets to Seattle Stadium — the temporary FIFA-mandated name for Lumen Field — there’s an unusual subplot to the in-person experience. The Pacific Northwest Seismic Network has installed seven sensors in and around the stadium to measure crowd-generated seismic activity, a callback to the “Beast Quake” that registered on instruments when Marshawn Lynch scored a playoff touchdown for the Seahawks in 2011.
