Outdoor Movies Are Screening Across the Eastside

Summer movie nights are back with parks and waterfronts across the region once again turning into open-air theaters. Here are some spots to catch a flick.

Bothell

The city’s annual Movies in the Park series at North Creek Sportsfields Field #3 will feature showings on a 40-foot outdoor screen, with start times shifting over the course of the summer. Titles on the schedule include “Grease,” “The Parent Trap,” “Black Panther,” and “Up.”

Redmond

At Marymoor Park, the KeyBank Movies at Marymoor series has a large screen, food trucks, and live entertainment throughout July and August. Guests are encouraged to bring blankets or lawn chairs. On the schedule are classics like “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off,” “Jurassic Park,” “The Princess Bride,” and several others. Tickets are $10.

Kirkland

Heritage Park will host two free double-feature movie nights in August. Scheduled films include “Zootopia 2” and “Rogue One” on Aug. 8, followed by the live-action remake of “How to Train Your Dragon” and “Tron: Ares” on Aug. 15.

Everett

The Port of Everett’s Sail-In Cinema series will return to Waterfront Place on Fridays from July 24 to Aug. 21. As the name suggests, visitors are welcome to attend by land or sea, on a first-come, first-docked basis at Guest Dock 7.
