La Mar’s Cebiche and Pisco Workshops

Bellevue’s La Mar is hosting one-hour cebiche-and-pisco workshops on July 18, giving a 10-person group a hands-on intro to leche de tigre, its Cebiche Clásico, and a classic Pisco Sour. The Cebiche and Pisco workshops are hosted monthly.

Guided by a chef and bar lead, the workshops introduce Peruvian coastal cuisine and a multicultural background that includes Japanese, Chinese, and Italian.

The next sessions run at 3 and 4 p.m. on July 18. Tickets are $69. Attendees will learn how La Mar makes its signature leche de tigre, then use it to assemble the Cebiche Clásico (halibut). And it’s not Peru without a traditional Pisco Sour, a cornerstone of La Mar’s cocktail program. The workshop includes a how-to for making the distinctively bright and silky cocktail.
