Homes Now Available at Seabrook’s New Makers Village

Seabrook’s newest neighborhood, Makers Village, recently unveiled its first batch of available homes.

Located along the Hidden Coast Scenic Byway, in a forest close to both the beach and town, the development is designed for creativity and walkability, according to a press release from the coastal getaway.

“It’s rooted in the same thoughtful planning and neighborly feel as Seabrook, but Makers Village brings a distinct maker-focused main street, dedicated artisan studios and kiosks, vibrant Scandinavian-inspired architecture, and public spaces designed for demonstrations, markets, and creative gatherings,” said Holly Emerson, vice president of Seabrook’s real estate Sales, in the release.

At the center of Makers Village is Makers Court, an area which will serve as a main street and gathering place for the community, with space reserved for events such as markets and live music. Artisan kiosks, where residents and artists can showcase their work to community members and visitors, are intended to be added at a later date.

Walkability is a key design feature of the neighborhood, with a variety of green spaces, parks, and gathering areas included throughout. The development will also be connected to Seabrook by a new walking and biking path along State Route 109, increasing access for those looking to embrace a car-less lifestyle, the release noted.

Incorporating a Scandinavian-inspired design aesthetic, the homes themselves will feature bold colors, simple forms, and clear lines. The majority of houses will face a park or main street; the first crop of available homes features two-bedroom abodes designed for a variety of lifestyles.

“We’re excited to introduce these high-efficiency, modern minimalist homes,” said Seabrook co-founder Casey Roloff in the release. “If you’ve considered purchasing in Seabrook before but felt you had missed the opportunity to get in early, Makers Village offers a rare chance to own at price points we haven’t seen since the beginning.”

The full intended scope of Makers Village includes a taproom, co-working space for remote workers, dedicated artisan studios, and a movie theater by Main Street.
