Old Rainier Brewery in Seattle hits market for $29 million

An iconic piece of Seattle history could be yours for $29 million.
The Old Rainier Brewery in SoDo is up for sale, according to a listing by Northmarq.
The big red ‘R’ can’t be missed by anyone driving along Interstate 5.
The campus is situated on the Airport Way South corridor and includes 24 buildings.
Finished space is about 91% leased across more than 95 unique spaces, including Groove Universe and Little Red Day Spa.
The property includes 23,427 square feet of unfinished shell that could be converted into whatever the new owner wishes.
According to the brewing company’s website, Rainier was born in Seattle in 1878.
It changed hands several times and was eventually sold to Pabst Brewing Company in 1999, which predominantly brews its beverages in California.
In 2008, construction began to reimagine the old brewing space in Seattle to accommodate commercial and artistic tenants. Since then, it has become home to a number of local businesses, work/live lofts, event spaces, and art and music studios.
