Western Expands Guaranteed-Admission Program to Every State High School

Western Washington University has opened applications for fall 2027 — and its guaranteed-admission program is now available to eligible students at every Washington high school.

To qualify for guaranteed admission, students must attend a Washington high school, have a cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher, and be on track to complete state graduation requirements. All students who apply through Western’s application or the Common App will automatically be considered for the program.

Students who do not meet the guaranteed-admission requirements will still be considered through Western’s holistic-admissions process.

“Every student in Washington should know that a public university is within reach,” President Sabah Randhawa said in a news release. “By expanding Western Guaranteed Admission statewide, we are removing uncertainty from the admissions process and helping more students take the next step toward earning a degree.”
