Moses Lake woman arrested for allegedly pulling knife on public servant, stealing cat

A 21-year-old Moses Lake woman was arrested Monday for allegedly pulling a knife on a public servant and stealing his cat.
At approximately 12:45 p.m., the Grant County Sheriff’s Office (GCSO) was called to the 8000 block of Patton Boulevard NE, GCSO announced.
The victim told deputies that the suspect had pulled a knife on him and stolen his cat.

While deputies made their way to the scene, they saw a woman matching the suspect’s description. She fled through a hole in a fence along SR 17.
Deputies followed the suspect until she threatened to stab them. Deputies backed off the pursuit and eventually took her into custody after she was tracked down by K-9 Storm.
GCSO noted that the office “can assume” the cat was unharmed due to there being no mention of animal cruelty in the deputies’ reports.
The suspect was booked into the Grant County Jail for investigation of first-degree robbery, felony threats to kill, intimidating a public servant, and obstructing law enforcement.
In total, the GCSO Patrol, Motor Traffic Unit, Special Operations, K-9, and Emergency Management units aided in the arrest.
