2 people critically injured after car crashes into utility pole, tree on Schuster Parkway in Tacoma

Two people were critically injured after a car crashed on Schuster Parkway in Tacoma.

The car hit a utility pole and a tree, Tacoma Fire reported around 2 p.m. Wednesday.

Responders extracted the patients from the car and transported them to nearby hospitals.

Southbound Schuster Parkway is shut down while Tacoma police investigate.

Northbound traffic is slow, Tacoma Fire stated.
