Pierce County authorities are looking for a man wanted for first-degree manslaughter in connection with the fentanyl-related death of his 5-year-old son.
“On March 13, 2025, at approximately 3:59 pm, deputies were dispatched to a medical aid call for a five-year-old child at a residence in the 14900 block of 66th Avenue Ct East in Pierce County,” the Pierce County Sheriff’s Office stated in a Facebook post Tuesday. “A 5-year-old boy ended up dying from Acute Fentanyl Toxicity.”
In May 2025, the boy’s mother was arrested for manslaughter.
However, the father, Kyler W. Lawrence, fled before authorities arrived, and they were unable to establish probable cause.
“New information was obtained, and now Kyler is wanted for Manslaughter 1st for the death of his child,” the post stated.
If you see Lawrence or know where he is, you are asked to call 911 immediately.
