Motorcyclist killed by train in Auburn

A motorcyclist was killed by a train in Auburn.
Around noon, Auburn police and traffic officers responded to the intersection of W Main St. and C St. SW after reports of a crash between a train and a motorcycle, according to the Auburn Police Department.
Officers found the motorcyclist dead at the scene.
Witnesses said the motorcyclist rode past the lowered railroad crossing arms. The investigation is ongoing.
W Main St. was closed between C St. NW and B St. NW while police investigated.
