Clinton: This is painful and it will be for a long time

During her concession speech Wednesday morning, Hillary Clinton said she offered to work with President-elect Donald Trump “on behalf of the country.”

However, she admitted that the results of the 2016 presidential election was “not the outcome we wanted.”

“I feel pride and gratitude for this wonderful campaign we built together,” she said.

“This is painful and it will be for a long time,” she added.

Clinton said the election shows that the national is more deeply divided than “we thought.” In nearly the same breath, she said told crowd of supporters that the country owes Trump an “open mind.”
