Two people were arrested in Spokane Tuesday in connection with the robbery of Jake Harris, according to Everett police.

Harris, 33, of the television series “Deadliest Catch” is recovering in a hospital after a severe beating and robbery over the weekend.

Jake Harris’ brother, Cornelia Marie Captain Josh Harris, shared details of his brother’s attack in two live videos on the official Facebook page for Deadliest Catch – F/V Cornelia Marie.
Around 8 p.m. on Saturday, Everett officers were called to the 700 block of Southeast Hightway 526 for a report of an injured man on the side of the highway.

Arriving officers found a victim with neck and head injuries. The victim told officers he had been at the Quil Ceda Creek Casino in Marysville, where he met up with a man, the man’s girlfriend and another woman he befriended the day before.

The man and his girlfriend agreed to give him a ride home and they drove him into Everett.

The victim told police that after making a stop, the man sat behind him and started to attack him as they drove.

He blacked out and woke up on the side of the highway with his wallet and $2,400 cash missing.

Everett fire medics responded, gave the victim treatment and recommended that he go to the hospital, but he declined.

An officer drove him home to Lake Stevens, where his girlfriend took him to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett – Colby Campus.

Josh Harris said his brother, Jake, was in intensive care unit with a “cracked skull” and brain trauma.

Josh said a man and a woman from Spokane were the suspects that Jake had identified and that the “word on the street” is that they had done such attacks before in which the victims were beaten and their money was stolen. He showed their pictures and named them in one of the two videos posted.

During their robbery investigation, detectives worked with Jake Harris to identify the suspects.

With the help of the Spokane Police Department, two suspects were arrested Tuesday evening in Spokane.

Everett detectives will take custody of the two and return them to Everett where they will be booked into the Snohomish County Jail on probable cause charges for robbery. It is not known if they will face assault charges as well.

Police have not named the two suspect at this point as the investigation is ongoing.

Everett police said they had not heard of any similar incidents. Police say the Harris family is cooperating with the investigation.

Harris was listed in satisfactory condition on Monday.
