Our government is creating the market for hackers

I was extremely interested to read about the release of a man from prison named Barrett Brown. He is one of many hackers in the group Anonymous.

Brown was basically one of the founders of Anonymous. He went to prison for sharing a link that was already available online. He shared it with a chat group of other hackers.

You can call him a journalist. Or you can call him a hacker and a thief.

The reason I’m torn about how to view this man is because I know what state agencies do when information is requested. They’ll begin destroying documents, shutting people down, telling people not to talk.

This is endemic in Government.

Government emails are ours; all of them belong to us. Yes, there are national security concerns. But guys like Barrett Brown don’t care about the nature of emails, they just care about getting the information. And I think they are very ideologically driven.

But government is creating a market for it. They are hiding what belongs to the American people. They are creating a desire and a market for hacking.

The reason I’m torn is because hackers like Barrett Brown will end up releasing emails that will get American killed in the field.

What we need is a wave of Conservative Barrett Browns, hacking the government and responsibly giving us information.
