Why are Progressives involved in transportation minutiae?

Do progressives want government jobs? Because they’ve convinced themselves that “choo-choo” trains are green energy?

The answers: Yes and yes.

People are also getting stinking rich promoting light rail. They are getting wealthy on contracts and land. And that is the one thing that Sound Transit does well — hiding this fact.

Why else are trains being pushed instead of buses? Buses can go anywhere and buses can change directions on the fly.

Sound Transit is about land and money.

Progressives are the party of brute force. And the crazy thing about the train lines is that those in power are able to pick and choose which neighborhoods are going to receive and benefit from train stops.

Modern progressives loathe your personal mobility. Like the writer from The Stranger who said that having tons of potholes is good thing for our city.

Trains are an extension of urban utopia and the central planners are deciding where investments are going to lie. If you don’t believe me, look at what the city planners have already done to Washington D.C.
