One of the most popular items this season has been the toasted grasshoppers, which has sold out at all three home games. That’s 901 orders and more than 18,000 grasshoppers.

Starting with Friday night’s game, Safeco Field is limiting orders to 312 per game.

Why 312?

The number represents Mariners great Edgar Martinez’s career batting average of .312.
