Seattle Councilmember Kshama Sawant says she’s not going to rule out having city employees and her followers block roads and close airports.

RELATED: Were they marching for science or conclusions?

Sawant told KING 5 last month that protestors should disrupt business as usual. Seattle police are now saying they are training for all scenarios.

This woman needs to be shut down. She’s a danger to public safety. It’s amazing to me that an elected official can use her position, paid by the taxpayer, to shut down the roads paid for by the taxpayer.

We’re nearing a time when it is going to be necessary to disrupt her; to disrupt her daily life and her ability to do her work. We need to do this peacefully, without harming her, but being in her way at every turn. Citizens need to stand up and disrupt her entire career, chant her name whenever she tries to speak.

Kshama, you have every right to protest, but you have no right to block me and other working people from getting home. Preventing working people from getting to work, to job interviews, to hospitals, does nothing for working people and does nothing to bring people to your side.

This woman is a danger.

As always, please listen to the full audio clip for complete context.

Watching her staff happily hand out free meals for hundreds of residents outside their Wailua commercial kitchen, food truck co-owner Kelly Kakalia felt fulfilled. It was the day after Hurricane Lowell finished knocking out power, washing out roads and felling trees across Kauai, and Kakalia was focused on her community, not sales. The island where […]
