Local musician, writer, audio savant and all around cool dude Levi Fuller, has a really fantastic thing happening this Friday, October 17th at Conor Byrne that you should probably check out. It’s the The Ball of Wax Volume 38 Release Show: New Protest Song Edition!

Levi founded Ball of Wax Audio Quarterly in 2005 and ever since, he’s been bringing you “new and obscure music, curated” for your aural pleasure. And who doesn’t like a bit of aural pleasure every now and again?

From Levi Fuller:

“The Ball of Wax Volume 38 Release Show will be a collection of new protest songs, covering topics ranging from the Mexican-American War to Philadelphia in 1970 to Palestine to Mars Hill Church and beyond. As always, it’s a strange and beautiful mix of new music by people you might or might not have heard of but would do well to pay attention to. The release show should be a wonderful night of music – both of the protest and non-protest variety – featuring five artists included on the CD.”

Oh, yeah, I should probably mention that upon paid entry to the show you get a Ball of Wax 38 CD, handmade by Levi himself.

Ball of Wax Volume 38 Release Show:
With Robert Deeble, Virgin of the Birds, The Harvey Girls, Emory Liu, Mindie Lind (Inly),
Friday, October 17th, 9pm,
