Must See Show: Cymbals Eat Guitars @ The Crocodile, chat here…

Cymbals Eat Guitars are from Staten Island, NY and over the last few years have been making some waves in the music world. The band first gained some buzz in 2009 when their self-released debut album Why There Are Mountains was included in Pitchfork Media’s ‘Best New Music’ category and as of this past August 2011 we have the release of their latest LP, Lenses Alien. Singer/guitarist Joe D’Agostino dropped by the mixtape recently to chat about camping, how it came to be that Pitchfork Media got wind of the band, why they had to change their album cover art which then led the band to not having any merch to sell at shows and how to deal with having a 104 degree temperature while on tour somewhere that is not the USA and having to play those shows while completely delirious.

Cymbals Eat Guitars are playing The Crocodile this Tuesday, October 11th and you should go check them out!
