She & Him Vol 2

For those of you who fell in love with the indie folk duo of Zooey 
Deschanel and M. Ward known as She & Him I have some very good news. She & Him Vol 2 has been recorded and will be released in the spring of 2010! Here’s a little of what M. Ward had to say about the topic in an interview he did with Paste Magazine…
The new album was recorded in Portland and Los Angeles over the past year-and-a-half, and will feature all-new original material penned by actress/chanteuse Zooey Deschanel and produced by M. Ward. “I think that the dark shades that were on the last record are maybe a little bit darker on the new record, and the brighter shades on the last record are a little bit brighter on the new record,” Ward tells Paste. “I think that people are going to hear more contrasts, which is always something that I shoot for in the studio.”
Whoo! There are so many more new and great albums to come out in the near future I can hardly stand it. Here’s a short list prepared by Stereogum and just a few stand outs for myself are The Avalanches, MGMT, and Yeasayer.
