I-5 driver ducks moments before debris crashes through windshield

A driver on northbound I-5 narrowly avoided major injury when a sizeable piece of masonry went through his windshield Wednesday.

The man was driving in Fife at about 6:30 a.m. when he saw the debris flying toward him and ducked just in time.

It crashed through the driver’s side of the windshield and struck him on the shoulder. The man did not have to go to the hospital, but will likely have a large bruise.

The flying masonry left a large hole in his windshield.

Trooper Brooke Bova tweeted about the incident and reminded drivers that road debris is a huge hazard and for drivers to make sure they secure their loads and check their brakes and tires regularly.
