Leveling the playing field in the legal arena

The British parliamentarian Edmund Burke said: “All that is necessary for evil to triumph is that good men do nothing.”

That’s especially true in the legal arena, where most lawyers tilt decidedly to the left. Many lavishly-funded organizations use the courts to advance their progressive agenda, with the ACLU — the American Civil Liberties Union — only the most famous, or notorious.

On the right, fewer attorneys work to defend Constitutional restraints on government power, because more power for government inevitably means more power for lawyers.

That’s why the Alliance Defending Freedom constitutes such an important resource. The ADF fights for religious liberty, in defense of faith-based values against the relentless bureaucratic bullying of the militant secular left. Victories in elections, can be easily, arrogantly undermined by the courts, which is why support for the ADF is so essential.
