SDOT Director Scott Kubly still has a job?

Seattle City Light CEO Larry Weis is stepping down by mutual decision with new Mayor Jenny Durkan. Kathleen O’Toole will resign as Seattle’s Chief of Police at the end of the year. Two prominent city leaders, gone.

And yet, one city official inexplicably remains. Seattle’s director of transportation Scott Kubly still has a job.

The guy with all the ethics violations, the guy who cost taxpayers millions of dollars, the guy who all of my sources have told me is incompetent and over his head, the guy who has helped engineer gridlock that helps to paralyze the whole region, that guy—Scott Kubly—still works for the City of Seattle.

Unbelievable.

Hey, Mayor Durkan, you’ve got work to do.
