Robbery suspect killed in officer-involved shooting

A man is dead and a woman is in police custody after an officer-involved shooting in Seattle’s Magnuson Park.

Both are suspects in a robbery at Northgate Mall that occurred at about 10 p.m. Monday.

After the robbery, the woman was found along Holman Road.

The man was involved in an altercation at an apartment complex near the mall. A shot was fired during the altercation and the apartment manager was hurt.

The gunman then fled in a vehicle and was pursued by Seattle police.

During the pursuit, the man shot at officers. No officers were hurt.

The pursuit ended in Magnuson Park where the suspect got out of the vehicle brandishing a gun and was fired upon by officers.

The suspect was taken to Harborview Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
