Is the anonymous confession board appearing around Seattle helpful, or is it just cheesy?

The board allows people to write down a confession, place it into a box, and someone else will post the message for others to read.

The board was created by former University of Washington students, KING 5 reports. It was created to demonstrate everyone has issues they are dealing with.

It’s a project that KIRO Radio’s John Curley says reminds him of signs in the discount section of local businesses.

“It kind of bothered me,” Curley said. “It’s like the awkwardness of someone handing you a yearbook and having to write something.”

Sayings such as: “I’m not afraid to die, I’m afraid to live,” are something KIRO Radio’s Tom Tangney says he is more apt to read, than actually write himself.

The confessions on the board are just like signs people have hanging on the walls in their bedrooms (Live, Laugh, Love), Curley said. Stuff like that is 35 percent off because it has a chip in it and it’s not original. The person behind you has the same thing, he added.

But wait a minute, doesn’t Curley have a family slogan? Be kind, Be strong, Be funny when you can.

“At least mine is original,” he said.
