A 30-year-old man died after a hit-and-run collision involving a motorcycle and a car on Wednesday in Queen Anne.

At approximately 11:23 a.m., a witness contacted 911 to report the collision near 6th Avenue W and W Nickerson Street, which had blocked off all directions of the roadway, the Seattle Police Department (SPD) announced.

A Seattle Fire Department (SFD) Engine truck was driving by when they were flagged down by a group of people alerting them to the injured motorcyclist.

SFD medics transported the man to Harborview Medical Center, though he died of his injuries shortly after.

SPD responded to the collision scene to investigate. The driver of the car fled the scene and has not been located.

Seattle Police announced the collision around 1 p.m. and advised travelers to avoid the area. That advisory has since been lifted.

The Seattle Department of Transportation (SDOT) noted it did not have a visual on the collision but had heard reports that all directions were blocked due to the collision.

This is a developing story, check back for updates.
