This spring, HERO House NW is opening its doors and inviting the community to experience firsthand how connection, purpose, and belonging support mental health recovery. With two upcoming open house events in Bellevue and Seattle, HERO House NW welcomes community members, partners, and anyone interested in learning more about its mission and impact.

Come See the Community in Action

HERO House NW operates a network of Clubhouses across Washington State, providing support for adults living with serious mental illness. These open house events offer a warm, welcoming opportunity to explore how the evidence-based Clubhouse model creates pathways to recovery through meaningful work, relationships, and community engagement.

Visitors will have the chance to:

  • Tour HERO House spaces and see daily activities in action
  • Meet staff and community members
  • Learn about the Clubhouse model and the “work-ordered day”
  • Explore employment and membership opportunities
  • Ask questions in a relaxed, supportive environment

Whether you’re a potential member, a community partner, or simply curious about innovative approaches to mental health recovery, these events are designed to be informative, inclusive, and approachable.

Who Should Attend?

The Open Houses are open to:

  • Community members
  • Mental health advocates and partners
  • Prospective members and families
  • Anyone interested in mental health recovery and community-based support

No prior experience or knowledge is required—just an interest in learning how people can thrive when given opportunities for connection and purpose.

About HERO House NW

HERO House NW is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting adults living with serious mental illness through free, voluntary Clubhouse membership. Rather than focusing on treatment, the Clubhouse model emphasizes hope, empowerment, and belonging. Members and staff work side by side during the “work-ordered day,” building skills, confidence, and social connections that support long-term recovery, independence, and overall well-being.

By reducing isolation and fostering community, HERO House NW helps members pursue goals in employment, education, housing, and personal growth—creating spaces where individuals are seen not as patients, but as valued members.

Learn More

The Open House events are an opportunity to see how HERO House NW creates inclusive, community-based environments where people can belong, contribute, and thrive.
