47-year-old man shot in Seattle’s Belltown, suspect still at large

A 47-year-old man was shot in Belltown Monday evening, the Seattle Police Department (SPD) confirmed.
The man was shot near Third Avenue and Blanchard Street. When patrol officers responded to the scene, they found the 47-year-old with a gunshot wound to his leg. Officers provided medical aid until the Seattle Fire Department arrived, at which point they continued treatment and eventually transported him to Harborview Medical Center.
The victim is currently in stable condition, as of this reporting.
“Police determined that multiple individuals got into a dispute in the moments leading up to the shooting,” SPD wrote in its crime blotter. “The suspect left the area before police arrived, and they did not locate him. Nor did they locate the firearm, taken by another man involved in the altercation, who also left the area.”
The circumstances leading up to the shooting are still under investigation.
