Deputies in Pierce County are warning about an armed group of robbers that has repeatedly hit convenience stores in Parkland and Midland.

Investigators are now asking the public for help identifying them. Detectives believe these crimes may be related because they occurred in similar areas, all around the same time, and involved similar-looking suspects who stole the same kinds of items.

“In all three incidences, alcohol, vapes, and cash were stolen,” Pierce County Sheriff’s Deputy Carly Capetto told KIRO Newsradio.

The first known incident occurred on Jan. 11 at 6:45 p.m. at Jackson’s Food store in the 10700 block of Pacific Avenue S. A second incident occurred two days later, at 7 p.m. at Terry’s Corner on the 8500 block of Golden Given Road E.

The third robbery happened on Jan. 14 at 6:30 p.m. at Midland Grocery on the 1700 block of 99th Street E.

“We are asking for your help if you know or recognize them, and to call us right away,” Capetto said.

The tactics appear to be escalating, with a fourth suspect joining the crew for the last known robbery.

In a video released by the Pierce County Sheriff’s Office, Capetto pointed to the second robbery as some of the best evidence for identifying this group. That video picked up audio of the suspect who was pointing a handgun with what looks to be an attached flashlight at the store clerk. He yelled at the clerk to “hurry it up, dawg” as other suspects filled a bag with merchandise.

“Please have situational awareness, and if you see these suspects, call us right away,” Capetto said. “We don’t want anyone to get hurt.”
